Woman sprays police with breast milk

CHICAGO (Reuters) - A lactating U.S. woman was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct after she sprayed sheriff's deputies with breast milk as they tried to remove her from a vehicle, police said on Monday. Ohio-resident Stephanie Robinette, 30, was arrested and charged with domestic violence and assault linked to a domestic dispute, as well as resisting arrest and disorderly conduct, according to the Delaware County Sheriff's Office.

China to use droppings to count endangered pandas

BEIJING (Reuters) - China will use analysis of panda droppings as it embarks upon a once-in-a-decade census of the endangered animal, state media said on Monday. Authorities are training some 70 trackers in southwestern China who will begin their work this week and end the survey by late July, Xinhua news agency said.

Seven arrested after Joburg's police chief burgled

Iran plans to send monkey into space

TEHRAN (Reuters) - Iran plans to send a live monkey into space next month, the latest advance in a missile and space program which has alarmed Israel and its western allies that fear the Islamic Republic is seeking nuclear weapons. The official IRNA news agency on Monday quoted the head of Iran's Space Agency as saying five monkeys were undergoing tests before one is selected for the flight on board a Kavoshgar-5 rocket.

Alaskans irked after midnight solstice game halted

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (Reuters) - Baseball fans in Alaska were fuming after a traditional midnight game, held every year without lights during the twilight hours of the summer solstice, was postponed for the first time because a visiting California team complained it was too dark. Umpires suspended the Alaska Baseball League amateur game with the score tied 1-1 in the 10th inning at about 1:30 a.m. local time (0930 GMT) Wednesday, about three hours into the contest.
