Mary Cooper Honorary Golf Challenge set for September
"The Cooper" to benefit Miriam's Promise
Aug 1, 2012, 3:42 p.m.
Nashville, TN Miriam's Promise, a pregnancy, parenting and adoption counseling center serving Middle Tennessee, recently announced that their 13th annual golf challenge will take place on September 24, 2012, at Forrest Crossing Golf Course in Franklin, with registration beginning at 8 a.m.
"The unique thing about this particular golf event is the way that we raise funds," said event chair Beth Morris. "The golfers don't actually pay to play. Instead, they raise funds by partnering with friends, business contacts and church members. The day of golf is actually our big thank you to those who have taken the time to invite others to be in mission with us."
An added benefit for fund-raisers is the addition of a personalized web page for each participant. With this tool, golfers and volunteers can share their personal story, add pictures and watch their progress as they reach their fund-raising goals.
If you are interested in participating in the challenge, you may register online at www.miriamspromise.org or contact the agency directly at 615-292-3500.
Since 1985, Miriam's Promise has served thousands of children and families in the Middle Tennessee area. The purpose of Miriam's Promise is to extend the promise of hope and healing to birthparents, pregnancy clients, adoptive families, and to children and families as they cope with issues of grief, loss and transition. The organization's mission is to ensure the well-being of children - before, during and after birth by providing pregnancy, parenting and adoption services.
